About the LivingWaters Fluoride Water Filter
The LivingWaters™ 5-Stage Under Sink Water Filter with Fluoride Removal Option uses the following water filtration technology:
- KDF ® 55 to filter heavy metals like lead, filter chlorine and kill bacteria
- Doulton Sterasyl ® Ceramic to filter sediment and cysts
- Carbon Block Resin (CBR) to filter bad taste, odor, and chemical contaminants
- UltraFiltration to filter small contaminants, yet leave the healthy minerals in your water
- A special filter cartridge for removal of fluoride
Specific Filtration for Fluoride
The fluoride filter cartridge uses a fine mesh activated alumina media specifically designed for high-capacity fluoride reduction.
Reduces fluoride from as high as 10 ppm to below 0.2 ppm.
Over 95% removal of fluoride for the average municipal drinking water (2 ppm fluoride). Fluoride reduction from carbon filtration is typically only 40%-60%.
The fluoride reduction cartridge lasts 2500 gallons, for the average municipal water (2 ppm fluoride). Higher concentrations of fluoride will require more frequent filter changes.

Better than Reverse Osmosis
This filter is better than reverse osmosis because it
- Leaves healthy and great tasting minerals like calcium and magnesium in your water
- Provides a continuous water supply on demand, so a bulky storage tank is not needed
- Is simpler and easier to install and maintain than reverse osmosis
- Does not waste 3-7 gallons of water to purify 1 gallon of water
- Does not require a connection to your drain pipes for waste water, which eliminates another connection that can leak and a drain line that can get blocked and spill waste water
- Uses multiple filtration media, which together provide fail-safe water purification instead of relying heavily on a single RO membrane
Easy Installation and Maintenance
- John Guest quick-connect fittings on the faucet and the premium saddle valve make installation easy
- Pressure relief button and shut-off valve make cartridge changes easy
- Easy to reset meter which shows water flow, gallons, and calendar days so you know when its time for a new filter cartridge
- Doulton Ceramic pre-filter increases the life of other filter cartridges for fewer replacements
Other Features
- Lead-free, stainless steel, long-reach spout with chrome trim.
- A wrench for housing removal, and an extra silicone "O" ring are included.
- Standard 10" open-both-ends (OBE) cartridges make the system easily upgradeable when improved filtration technology is available
- Size of system: 17 inches wide, 6 inches deep, and 15 inches tall
- Appropriate components comply with NSF Standard 42 for water aesthetics, and NSF Standard 53 for cyst removal
- This system is not certified by the California Department of Health Services
Replacement Cartridges
Every LivingWaters system we sell comes with a full set of cartridges.
The replacement cartridges are shown below so you can easily find them when it's time for replacement or to allow you to get a set now and save time later.
The fluoride cartridge lasts a year with typical fluoride levels.
The KDF/Ceramic cartridge lasts two years, but should be cleaned with a soft brush under running water after a year.
The Ster-O-Tap carbon block and UltraFiltration cartridge lasts one year.
It's very important that the cartridges be placed in the following order for optimal performance:
- Fluoride filter cartridge (first housing)
- Ceramic and KDF-55 ® cartridge (second housing)
- Carbon block and ultrafiltration cartridge (third housing)
