Doulton Ultracarb Water Filter Cartridge
The Doulton Ultracarb Water Filter replacement cartridge includes four stages of filtration:
- Doulton Sterasyl Ceramic filter to remove particles down to 0.9 micron, which eliminates sediment, dirt, rust, and cysts like giardia and cryptosporidium
- Doulton Sterasyl Ceramic has silver incorporated into the ceramic material to inhibit the growth of bacteria, so you don't have to boil the filter periodically like other ceramic filters
- Carbon block resin filtration media to remove organic and synthecit chemicals such as chlorine, pesticides, trihalogenmethanes (THMs)
- ATS ion exchange resin to remove heavy metals
Other Features
- Leaves healthy minerals like calcium and magnesium in the water for great tasting water that's also good for you
- Reduces water flow to indicate a filter cleaning or replacement is needed when contaminants build up on the surface of the ceramic pre-filter
- Ceramic filter can be cleaned with a scrub brush to prolong the filter life when the input water has excessive sediment
