A countertop water filter is very easy to install, but still gives you safe and delicious water.
Countertop water filters come with a diverter valve that replaces your faucet aerator to give you filtered tap water on demand.

Will a Countertop Filter Fit My Kitchen Faucet?
Countertop water filters get water from your kitchen faucet by replacing the standard aerator (the part where the water comes out of the faucet), with a diverter valve.
You just pull a knob on the diverter valve to send water through the filter for drinking.
When you release the knob, water flows to the sink as usual.
If you have a pull-out vegetable sprayer faucet, a diverter valve won't fit.
You'll need to look at under sink water filters if you have a faucet with a pull-out sprayer.

There are two countertop filter designs on the market.
One design outputs water at the kitchen faucet, the other at the filter housing.
The Aquasana design delivers water at the normal sink faucet location.
The advantage of this design is it avoids spills because the water is output over the sink.
The Aquasana design also outputs the water near the diverter valve knob for convenience and a more natural ease of use.

This design allows you to get water easily, even if the sink is full of dishes because you don't have to fit your glass under the kitchen faucet.

It takes bit of getting used to because you turn the water on at the sink faucet but the water comes out another faucet by the filter.
